Learn how to prevent a horse from biting by using a pipe as a spacer. Build a strong relationship with your horse outside of training sessions and establish respect and boundaries in the round pen. Be consistent and use minimal pressure, correcting the horse with energy rather than physical touch. Model appropriate behavior and avoid physical punishment, instead using positive reinforcement for good behavior. Practice moving the horse without touching and work on stopping, backing up, and moving together. Gradually test the horse's response without a wall and remember that each person must build their own relationship with the horse.
