How to Apply to Perform or Present at the 2023 JEN Conference

Excitement is building for the upcoming launch in 2023. We are hopeful that there won't be a spike in COVID variants in December. After the success of our previous conference in Dallas, we are eagerly anticipating our upcoming conference in Orlando. Applications are now open and will close on April 30th. Please note that there will be no extensions, and only reference forms will be accepted after the deadline (by May 8th). We encourage early submission for a better chance of acceptance. This conference is a gathering of jazz enthusiasts of all ages, with sessions and performances. The application process and requirements are explained in detail. We emphasize the need for high-quality audio recordings for performance applications. Backline equipment will be available for performances, but please specify any additional percussion items needed. Please note that there is no compensation for performances, but complimentary conference registration is offered. Attendees are responsible for their own lodging and meals. The selection process is based on blind auditions and the quality of presentation. We encourage you to submit your ideas and topics for diverse presentations. The length of presentations may vary depending on the category. Replays will be available, and you can search for specific sessions. There is also an opportunity to participate in the Generations Jazz Festival for performing ensembles. The cost and process for participating in the festival are explained. Your spot will be secured with a completed application and payment. Please note that airport shuttles are not organized by the conference, but information will be provided. A block rate for hotel rooms will be available by the end of April. The conference will be livestreamed to Facebook and recorded for viewing anytime. We encourage more applications to offer a wider range of sessions. Membership benefits include free charts, scholarships, and access to the online events library.
