I provide a summary of a Mandril Method session involving an 8-year-old client struggling with emotion regulation. The client, who had meltdowns affecting school attendance, used a miniature horse Emoji to manage emotions. Starting in a smaller space due to feeling overwhelmed, the client progressed to a larger space after catching the Emoji. Despite encountering a sick prairie dog, the client remained calm, showcasing resilience. Therapists learned to trust the client's capability to handle situations and the importance of allowing clients space to process and problem-solve, emphasizing belief in their ability to find solutions.
