2021 Sisters in Jazz Collegiate Combo

Ingrid Jensen - Director Performer: Minnie Jordan - Violin Samantha Spear - Saxophone Alex Ridout - Trumpet Yvonne Rogers - Piano Jordyn Davis - Bass Meghan Lock - Drums 2021 SISTERS IN JAZZ COLLEGIATE COMBO Directed by Ingrid Jensen, the combo met weekly via Zoom and prepared five charts to record and premier at the 2021 JENX Conference. In an effort to support JEN’s overall commitment to represent and cultivate diversity, equity, and inclusion in jazz, the Jazz Education Network re-established the Sisters in Jazz Collegiate Combo Competition. Through this exemplary program, full-time university students identifying as young women or non-binary jazz artists ages 18-29 audition to rehearse and perform in the Sisters in Jazz combo.
