The undulating spine.... I love how this travels around the entire quilt! It is much easier to mark this ahead of time. I know, I know... I'm with you. I can't stand taking the time to mark things ... but it makes this so much easier. If you like you can skip the marking and turn your quilt to do the side borders but this I find more of a pain.

A set of circles and arcs rulers go a long way when marking your borders. The best is that you can also use them to stitch out the spine with! Make the investment... you won't be sorry.
