Users can input essential details like name, description, and asset code, while also assigning the asset to a designated group, such as "Computer Equipment." The system allows for the inclusion of custom fields, tax, and accounting depreciation methods, with options to save default settings for asset groups. After saving, users can view comprehensive asset details, setting the stage for future videos on other addition methods.
